As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing bid requests and preparing accurate financial proposals for our fenestration projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the profitability and competitiveness of our offers.
Responsibilities
- Read and analyze project plans and specifications.
- Calculate the costs of materials, labour, and related services.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain pricing and availability.
- Prepare detailed, competitive bids for clients and contractors.
- Identify specific requirements and project constraints.
- Collaborate with Technical Advisors to validate the feasibility of proposals.
- Maintain accurate follow-up on bids and ongoing projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes.
- Recommend methods or tools to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure all proposals comply with company standards and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, building technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in construction or fenestration is an asset.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent command of Excel and cost-calculation tools.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to prioritize effectively.
